Barrington is a lovely little hamstone village near Ilminster, known for its charm and community spirit. Every other year, the village comes alive with Barrington Day — a special celebration of history, gardening, and good company. This year, as part of Glorious Gardens, at least eight local gardens will open their gates for everyone to enjoy. You’ll find everything from cozy, colorful cottage gardens to larger spaces with beautiful trees and stunning views — each one different and full of character. Over at St Mary’s Church, the Flower Festival will be in full swing, and around the village there’ll be plenty of entertainment and refreshments to enjoy. Best of all, it’s all in support of St Margaret’s Hospice.
